Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on Friday met Alfonso García Mora, the International Finance Corporation's Vice President for Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean and Odile Renaud-Basso, the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, to discuss cooperation.

The Georgian Ministry said the meeting with Mora also featured Natia Turnava, the Acting Governor of the country's National Bank, with the officials discussing bilateral ties.

The meeting also covered discussions on progress of ongoing projects supported by the IFC in Georgia, domestic capital market development, opportunities for lending to small and medium-sized businesses and increasing the investment potential in the sector.

The Ministry said the meeting with Renaud-Basso reviewed current and future projects in the country financed by the Bank to ensure sustainable economic growth.

The officials highlighted their cooperation in energy security, green economy, climate change, municipal infrastructure, capital market development, private-public partnership and development of the financial sector.
